Well, I officially went metal detecting every day so far this week. I was lucky enough to get away from work before the weather turned bad for the winter. Its been cold and windy but once you get out walking around its not so bad. Today I went to an old park I have been to several times. The park sits next to an old church that was originally built in 1879. That building eventually collapsed and a new church was built adjacent to the original in 1925. Its one of the oldest parts of town that I am aware of, so I like to visit in hopes of finding something good. My best find at this park so far is a 1905 V Nickel that I tried to clean up but was a bit damaged in the process. Lesson learned as a new metal detectorist.

Unfortunately those finds are rare and I did not find anything quite that exciting today. The most interesting find from today was this "crown pin" or so I am calling it. The pin is small but rather heavy for its size, it cleaned up pretty easily and you can still see most of the detail.

The picture below is from my previous trip out yesterday at a different park. This park is home to Herriman Town Days, which is an annual carnival of sorts for the town. I pull quite a few of these tokens from Browns Amusements, but never usually 5 in a single trip. I am starting to get quite the collection of tokens, maybe after COVID is done I will be able to go use them all for some free rides!
