Had a fun hunt this morning at Copperton Park. I was hoping to stumble upon some older coins since the town was first established in 1926. The majority of the town was designated as a historic district with some really cool older buildings. Its a large park with plenty of ground to cover. Like any park there is a fair amount of trash to deal with but I was able to find my first ever wheat penny while detecting.
Photo of Copperton Park. Full of large trees and lots of ground to cover.

This is a photo of an old St. Paul United Methodist Church right next to the park. The church building has some neat history which you can read more about by clicking the image below.
Here are my finds for the day, nothing too exciting besides the wheat penny. 16 pennies, 1 dime, 1 quarter. I did dig up an old sprinkler head that was about 8-10 inches down but I didn't take a photo. All of these were found inside the park itself, I did not detect the old church.
